Tax Increment Reinvestment Zone (TIRZ) #2 was created by the City of Schertz in 2006, covering approximately 825 acres, as a mechanism for encouraging development in one of the fastest growing communities in Texas.
The project consists of a master-planned community of single-family, multi-family, and commercial development. Our firm worked with the primary developer to expand the initial boundaries of the TIRZ, amended taxing units’ participation, and most importantly amended the Development Agreement between the developer and the city.
